A physical education instructor wanted to develop an alternate form of dodgeball that would develop agility, speed, and reaction time for its players. He ended up creating the game as we know it today! It quickly grew within Israel, and by the 1970s several outposts had been established for the game. The sport then slowly spread to the United States, with the first Gaga Ball pit built in the summer of 2002. Today, Gaga is played in schools, camps, and neighborhoods all across the US!
